DescriptionMeasurement of leucocyte cardiolipin and monolysocardiolipin for the diagnosis of Barth syndrome.
IndicationFor investigating Barth syndrome - patients have cardiomyopathy plus one or more of the following: neutropenia, skeletal myopathy, growth retardation and 3-methylglutaconic aciduria (which is detected by organic acid analysis, note normal 3-methylglutaconic acid does not exclude the disorder)
