DescriptionCopper is bound to caeruloplasmin, levels of which are increased in other conditions (see Caeruloplasmin entry). Low plasma levels may be found in Wilson disease and associated with a decrease in caeruloplasmin. Protocol for Penicillamine test is available for the diagnosis of Wilsons disease.
