DescriptionArboviruses or arthropod-borne viruses and belong to the flavivirus (Dengue, Yellow Fever, Japanese Encephalitis, St. Louis Encephalitis, Murray Valley Encephalitis, West Nile, Tick-Borne Encephalitis), alphavirus (Barmah Forest, Chikungunya, Ross River, Sindbis, Western, Eastern & Venezuelan Equine Encephalitis)and phlebovirus (Rift Valley fever, Sandfly fever group groups). These viruses cause febrile illnesses in travellers returning to the UK. It is essential to note the travel history on the request form.
