DescriptionBacillus anthrax serology is available via the Special Pathogens Reference Unit at Porton Down. Culture and PCR based diagnostic tests are preferred to serological testing. If you suspect a clinical case of anthrax please contact the laboratory for reasons of danger of infection. Please notify the health protection unit or CCDC of a clinical or confirmed case. Please see separate Test and Tubes for culture and PCR testing.
