DescriptionUnfractionated heparin is used in the treatment of thrombosis.
IndicationPatients on UF Heparin therapy.
Additional InfoUF Heparin therapy is usually monitored using the APTT ratio. However in some patients who have an existing abnormal APTT, such as patients with Lupus anticoagulant, this method cannot be used. These patients have their heparin levels monitored using an anti factor Xa method.
