Description The procedure to determine chromosomal abnormalities.
IndicationQuery aneuploidy, gender assignment, gamete donors, IVF patients, familial chromosome rearrangements, other paediatric and adult chromosome abnormalities.
Additional Info 5-10 mls per adult, 2-5mls per infant and 1-2mls per baby. Should tests for microdeletions be required please clearly state this on the referral form. Please note that at least 3mls of blood (in lithium heparin) is required for breakage tests.
