|Description||CCP Ab are a useful marker of early RA however the 2009 NICE guidelines recommend the continued use of rheumatoid factor. Consider measuring anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (CCP) antibodies in people with suspected RA if they are negative for rheumatoid factor.|
|Indication||Suspicion/indication of Rheumatoid Arthritis. A sensitive and specific Ab for the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). However cost effectiveness evaluated by NICE, not proven for use in routine diagnosis.
