InterpretationDecreased in acute phase response, renal and hepatic disease and poor nutritional status. May also be decreased in thyrotoxicosis, amyloidosis, hyper-estrogenism and after IV fluids. Increased in alcoholism, steroid use, pregnancy and Hodgkin's.
