Additional InfoImipramine and Lofepramine metabolised to desipramine. Desipramine is monitored on patients receiving Lofepramine due to the extensive first pass metabolism of Lofepramine.

InterpretationConcentrations >1000 ug/l associated with serious toxicity. Imipramine plasma half-life is 8-20 hrs. Desipramine half-life is 10-20 hrs.
