Additional InfoFor hyperinsulism and fat oxidation defects the plasma glucose should be less than 2.5mmol/L for analysis to be valid. For ketolytic defect investigation the test should be performed whatever the glucose. Sometimes used in investigation of various ketoacidotic states.
