Additional InfoPlease note that heparin sample WITHOUT GEL (green/black top) is required for this test. Plasma Vitamin C concentrations are only valid in the absence of systemic inflammmation (CRP < 10mg/L). see Nutrition Screen. Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant, is required for collagen synthesis, increases iron absorption, is involved with wound healing and drug metabolism.
