DescriptionFactor V Lieden is a mutation in the Factor V gene that renders FV resistant to activated Protein C (Arg506Gln mutation). The presence of the mutation leads to an increased risk of thrombosis.

Additional InfoThe screening test for this mutation is the activated Protein C resistance test (APCR). If the APCR is normal, the FV Leiden test is not normally performed.
