Ref. Range NotesSpecifically elevated in 11B-hydroxylase deficiency (>100 nmol/l in neonates with 11-hydroxylase deficiency). 11-deoxycortisol can also be used to follow response to the metyrapone test for Cushings. It is measured at 09:00 hrs before and after test. A rise to over 1050 nmol/l suggests pituitary-dependant disease.
