Water deprivation test 3: DDAVP Test
Procedure
Administer DDAVP 2 microgram im
Measure urine volume and osmolality at hourly intervals for at least 3 hours.
Fluid should be restricted to less than 500 mL in the 8 hours after the test
Contraindication
This test is contraindicated in patients with heart failure and ischaemic heart disease
